WTM Centres are located around the world, and across Africa, reflecting the growing recognition of the critical importance of biologist Jeremy Griffith’s breakthrough understanding of the human condition.
The WTM Centre in Port Elizabeth was founded by Sharon Jessop, who was born in Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, raised in Fort Beaufort and moved to Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) when she turned 21, where she has lived ever since; “I am Eastern Cape born and bred and I love this part of our beautiful country.”
Sharon holds a law degree and was a Public Prosecutor with the Department of Justice, after which she was a Risk Manager with a major car manufacturer. She also has a diploma in fitness training, is the owner of a fitness studio, and is highly sought-after as a personal development coach and motivational speaker — including as an international TEDx speaker. Sharon is also a contractor with the Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa.
In addition to this extraordinary career, Sharon is a well-known adventurer, ultra-endurance athlete, entrepreneur and conservationist. Acknowledged throughout South Africa as the ‘Rhino Lady’, Sharon has completed numerous running expeditions to raise awareness for rhino conservation through her ‘Run Wild For Rhinos’ initiative — one of which set a Guinness World Record in 2021!
Married with an adult son, Sharon has said, “I am so honoured and feel so grateful that Jeremy’s work found me…The insights I’ve gained have been both humbling and empowering!”
